General description:

The standard double-acting hydraulic cylinder 'Differential cylinder' has two connections (for hydraulic hoses), allowing the cylinder to move linearly in one direction or the other.
Due to the different area ratios of the pressurized oil on either side of the cylinder, the cylinder also has different power when extending or retracting, and consequently, due to the different oil volumes on either side of the cylinder, the speed of the cylinder in one direction or the other is also faster or slower. When 'extending' the cylinder, oil acts on the entire surface of the piston, which means the cylinder exerts greater force and moves slower; conversely, during 'retracting', where the area is smaller due to the diameter of the rod, this side moves faster, and the cylinder overcomes less force.

Usage:

Hydraulic cylinders are useful wherever there is a need for greater power that can be relatively easily achieved.
In agriculture, hydraulic cylinders are used for tractors (lifting arms of three-point linkages, top links, hydraulic steering, loaders, FRONT HYDRAULICSs...), combines, loaders, etc. For tractor attachments such as rakes, loaders, tipper trailers, wood splitters, hatches on slurry tanks, harrows, moving mowers and mulchers, silage collectors, turning plows for soil and snow plows, forestry winches, etc.
Hydraulic cylinders are also very commonly used in forestry technology, machine construction, construction, shipbuilding, energy, food industry, automotive industry.
